  • Hazardous Materials Incidents
  • Transportation Accidents

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Avalon Fire Rescue District operates as a Basic Life Support (BLS) agency. Our  personnel provide essential pre-hospital care and stabilization for patients until advanced care arrives. We do not perform interfacility or hospital transfers.

Our EMS capabilities include:

  • Basic Emergency Medical Care (BLS)
  • Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)
  • Patient Assessment and Stabilization

All EMS operations are guided by established standing orders, policies and procedures, and supported through:

  • In-service training
  • Continuing education programs for EMTs to maintain proficiency and compliance with state and local standards

Emergency Response Standards

Avalon Fire Rescue District strives to meet industry best practices for response times and operational readiness. While our call volume and benchmarks differ from larger metropolitan agencies, our goal remains consistent: rapid, effective, and professional service delivery to protect life, property, and the environment.
